Meet Danielle Santopietro

I was born and raised in Holmdel, New Jersey on a 300 year old Historical Farm Property only 45 mins. away from downtown Manhattan. Growing up on a farm with chickens, pigs, and even a horse taught me a strong work ethic at an early age. Being so close to New York City exposed me to arts, broadway, fashion, a melting pot of cultures, and of course, the best foods. Such a fortunate upbringing gave me a sense of balance between country life, and city life.

Attending Merchandising School in NYC catapulted me into a managerial and sales career in fashion in Miami, FL. I was fortunate to work with top designers, and a celebrity clientele. While in Miami, I traveled abroad experiencing all that Europe, Asia and the Middle East had to offer. The multiple cultures were enlightening, and although I enjoyed my experiences, I was always was happy to return home to the United States.

My passion for good food, influenced by my travels and my Italian heritage, beckoned me to open a restaurant. Just as soon as could, I ventured out on my own, and never turned back. Fast forward, I met my partner when he came into my restaurant, and it was an instant union. A few years later, we relocated to Napa Valley where we launched our boutique branding agency, Harvest Design. My background in business, fashion, and design coupled with my partner's career in advertising and graphic design forged a dynamic partnership. We quickly gained success creating advertising and marketing design for high end clientele in the wine, lodging, luxury spa, and hospitality industries. When we discovered Lake County, we fell in love with the God-given natural beauty and friendliness of the people we met. We knew right away, where we would call home.

The desire to pursue my passion for food, inspired me to open another restaurant; this time on the Northshore in the lakeside town of Lucerne. I remember when I opened, many people were skeptical, but the success exceeded even my own expectations. I quickly realized Highway 20 is the economic engine that can drive small businesses, and inspire residential communities to thrive!

This positive experience motivated me, and my partner, to purchase the adjoining property which was blight and in complete disarray. My vision included community events, and maybe even Farmer's Markets. The extensive rehabilitation project drew the attention and interest of the community while allowing us to showcase my vision. When hosting events for the kids, the response is overwhelming from the smiles on their faces to the volunteers who make it possible.

Today, the fulfillment I enjoy, strengthened by my success, experience and perspective motivates me serve a broader purpose and run for District 3 Supervisor. Together, we can build stronger, healthier communities for today and generations to come!

Bottom photo: my love for animals goes way back to when I was a small child. My father raised beagles for hunting which kept me busy along with tending to chickens and pigs.
